Registration
- Invitation emails have been sent to graduates’ personal email and UM email. Use the link in the email to register by Monday, 10 November 2025.
- Graduates whose graduation was approved between 10 October 2024 and 8 October 2025 by the University Senate are invited to the ceremony. Each graduate will only be invited to attend one ceremony.
- Graduates who do not sign up by the deadline will be considered not attending the ceremony.
Dress Code
- Long-sleeve white shirt, pure black trousers/skirt, black bow tie, pure black shoes, graduation gown, and graduation cap.
- No decorations are allowed on the graduation gown or cap.
- Non-compliant graduates will not be allowed to receive the certificate on stage.
- Please check the specifications of graduation gowns.
Graduation Gown Rental
1. Application
If you need to rent a graduation gown, please apply through the sign-up link provided in the invitation email.
2. Payment and Gown Pickup

- Deposits are only accepted in cash. To reduce waiting time, please prepare the exact amount in advance.
- If the graduation gown is lost or damaged, restitution must be made to the University. The amount of restitution will be determined by the University in accordance with the cost for replacing such gown.
 
3. Returning the Gown
Please return the gown within the specified time, and collect your deposit by presenting your receipt at the designated location. Late returns will incur additional rental fees.

Attendance of Companions
- Admission tickets will be distributed to graduates upon the completion of registration on the ceremony day.
- Companions can access the live stream viewing area by presenting their admission tickets.
- Attendees must remain quiet and seated during live stream.
- Children under 6 years old are not admitted.
Transportation
- Drivers can use the Outdoor Visitor Car Park P1A near the UM Stadium (N9). Electronic payment only.
- For the other Visitor Car Parks – P3, P5, and P6, the parking fees for light vehicle is MOP 6/hour while that for motorcycle is MOP 3/hour. Half parking fees could be waived by presenting the campus card (e.g. Student ID or Alumni Card) at the shroff office, except for contactless or electronic payment.

Locker Use
- Due to venue constraints, lockers at the UM Sports Complex will not be available on the ceremony day.
Typhoon and Heavy Rain Arrangements
- If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 3 or below, or any Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force on the ceremony day, the ceremony will proceed as scheduled.
- If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above is still in force at 12:00 noon, the ceremony will be rescheduled.
- If Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or above is issued during the ceremony, the ceremony will continue.
Photo Taking Arrangement
- The University will arrange photographers to take photos. Graduates will receive an email notification regarding the online photo album after the ceremony.
- Students should respect the privacy of others, posting photos of others in any way without permission is prohibited.
- The copyright of the photos belongs to the University of Macau. If any infringement is found, the infringer shall bear the legal responsibilities.
Short-term Accommodation in UM Guest House for Families of Graduates Visiting Macau
- UM Guest House is located at N1, all guest rooms are equipped with full accommodation amenities. There are limited number of Standard Twin Rooms offered to families of graduates visiting Macau for short-term accommodation purposes at UM Guest House. Graduates can make reservations for family members by completing the e-application form. Student Resources Section will confirm the reservation by e-mail afterwards. Rooms are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
