Objective
- The “University of Macau Scholarship for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Programmes” (STEM Scholarship) was established by the University of Macau (UM) to attract outstanding local students to pursue studies in programmes related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Eligibility
- Applicable to local students (local students refer to Macau SAR resident identity card holders) who are admitted to Master’s degree programmes in the STEM disciplines from academic year 2022/2023 onwards.
- Eligible candidates applied for Master’s degree programmes will be considered automatically for the Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.

Scholarship Content and Disbursement
- Scholarship recipients of master’s degree programmes will receive a one-off scholarship in their first year of study.
- The scholarship is one-off and students can only receive once throughout their entire study period of the programme.
- It is also compatible with other types of scholarships, academic awards and allowances offered by the UM.
